Love Heart Hair <3

As I have recently dyed my hair pastel pink I wanted to find a hairstyle that is fun and girly that will compliment my new barnet. I think that hairstyles that have hearts merged in somewhere are very cute and girly.

I saw this one on tumblr and thought it looked easy to do, once I learnt how to do it I wear my hair like this all the time. You can style your hair like this with straight, wavy, curly or even on crimped hair, I've chosen to style it with very loose waves.

This heart was made out of three pencil thickness plaits and two thin hair bands. I have the same heart on the other side of my head, at the back I have secured the hair with a butterfly hair clip from Claire's Accessories.

Start by taking an average handful of hair, secure this with a hairband so it looks like a small pony tail.

Separate this small pony tail into three sections. Plait each section so that you have three pencil thickness plaits.

Take one of the plaits that sit on the outside, tuck the end of the plait into the hairband and pull so that a small loop forms.

Repeat this on the other side.

You should have two loops with a straight plait in the middle.

Grab another hairband and secure the two looped plaits to the middle straight plait to form the heart.
