I'm going to kickstart my blog by posting about a new hairstyle I have been trying out, the love-heart knot! Although it looks complex it couldn't be easier to do. The love-heart knot is a super cute hairstyle that can work on shoulder length hair and long hair, you can also do this on curly, straight, wavy and crimped hair. This hair style works best on hair that hasn't been washed for a day or two, if its shiny and sleek your hair may want to unravel before you have secured it with an elastic.

H A I R P R E P-

My hair was sprayed with a new product: Loreal Magic Touch Root Spray, I used the brown shade. You can also spray your roots with dry shampoo, Bastille are a very good for dry hair shampoo. If you are on a budget then Boots and Superdrug have their own bran dry hair shampoo that smells just as nice.

Brushing is option haha as you can see my hair in this photo doesn't look tangle free! But if you want a sleeker look then I advise brushing.

S T E P O N E-

Start by parting your hair, a middle parting works the best!

S T E P T W O-

Take a small section from either side of the face, pull these pieces of hair to the back of your head so there is a tiny pony tail, secure this with an elastic. There should be a V shape which forms the bottom of the heart.

S T E P T H R E E-

Take another small section from either side of your face, his time back sure that this hair is longer than the last time and that it is a similar thickness to a regular pen/pencil.

S T E P F O U R-

It doesn't matter which side you start with, take one piece of hair and place it over the V so it covers up the elastic.

S T E P F I V E-

This is the tricky part to explain! with this without a photo. Take the piece of hair and loop it underneath the top section of the V.

S T E P S I X-

Repeat this on the other side, once this has been done there should be two loops that look like the one above, tie the ends of the loops together so that it resembles a heart shape.
